TOO IMPORTANT TO FAIL is an online platform to allow the American people to promote the need for education equity and the need to dismantle the school-to-prison pipeline, ensuring that African American males have the opportunities to excel academically, to prepare for college, and to learn skills essential to earning living wages.
We believe that education is a right and that each individual is entitled to an equal education. On Too Important to Fail, we encourage Americans to participate in a dialog about the issues that are important to them and their families. This site gives people the power of their voices to drive a constructive debate focused on solutions.
Users may offer ideas and policy solutions and declare an issue a top priority. Too Important to Fail is designed to inform the public, as well as leaders and decision-makers, about the educational and health disparities facing African American boys in the 21st century and to catalyze interactive, nationwide discussions about this crisis. It also aims to raise the issues of The Campaign for Grade-Level Reading to mobilize leadership around moving the needle on 3rd-grade reading over the next decade.
